Now based in Cornwall Thomas Flintham originally studied at De Montfort University and for his Masters degree in Illustration at Camberwell College of the Arts in London.
Tom works digitally, drawing straight into his computer with his Wacom tablet. He has a very loose grip on reality and enjoys disappearing into his own imagination in search of new characters, worlds and ideas to draw. His work is influenced by his interest in all kinds of books, films, comics, mazes, puzzles and especially playing video games.
The successful ‘Izzy’ series with Pamela Butchart as won the Blue Peter Book Award, for Best Story 2015 and The Children’s Book Award 2016 and was shortlisted for the Lollies in 2018. He has also won the ALCS award in 2013 for his collaboration with Tom Adams on Molecule Mayhem 2013 he is an amazing award-winning illustrator and superstar!
Tom’s lifelong ambition has been realised by the thrilling news Cyber Group Studios in the United States are now developing a new animated TV series based on his best-selling Press Start! books published by Scholastic Inc.
