We are bounding into the new year with a brand-new adventure written by James Davis and illustrated throughout by the ever-so-fabulous Dotty Sutton.

Scarlet Saves the Multiverse is the kind of children’s book that kicks the door down, steals your biscuits and then saves reality before tea time.

Picking up right where Scarlet: Defender of the Universe left off, we find Scarlet with a small but rather awkward problem: she’s accidentally duplicated herself by tearing a hole in space–time. Which means there are now two Scarlets living in one house. Try explaining that to your parents.

While attempting to keep her time-glitch twin hidden from Mum and Dad, Scarlet is also faced with a slightly bigger issue… the multiverse is in serious trouble. Not just one universe. All of them. No pressure.

To stop everything from unravelling, Scarlet must save an endangered species of cyber beetles, break into a giant supercomputer and find a cure for a mysterious illness threatening the life of a very important dolphin.

The story barrels along at full throttle, packed with jokes, fourth-wall-breaking mischief and proper edge-of-your-seat adventure, making it perfect for readers who like their sci-fi served with a big helping of comedy.

Visually, the book is just as special. Our brilliant Arena artist Dotty Sutton brings Scarlet’s universe to life with her energetic, expressive interior illustrations, adding layers of humour, emotion and movement to every page. Her bold, eye-catching cover sets the tone perfectly too – bright, funny and bursting with interdimensional chaos.

Scarlet Saves the Multiverse is funny, fast and fearless, and Dotty’s artwork makes it a total joy to dive into. If you like your heroes smart, your jokes sharp and your universes slightly on fire, this one’s for you.
