Hand lettering has become an integral part of many illustrator’s work. This playful, creative interpretation of letter forms brings a hand crafted feel to a project and has led to its resurgence over the last few years throughout the advertising, design and publishing industries. Hand rendered lettering has an informal, friendly and expressive appeal to audiences and can be a refreshing contrast to the more conventional digital typography we see on a daily basis.

Here we showcase our first selection of book covers with illustrations and lettering by Chris Garbutt and Thomas Flintham – enjoy!
