Advertising, design and visual culture magazine, Creative Review’s February Issue is all about the winning qualities of Illustration: “Idiosyncratic. Characterful. Distinctive”. Someone To Watch Over Me (page 32), features a round table discussion with a selection of illustrators’ agents including Arena Illustration. I was delighted to be invited to talk about the changing nature of the industry, the role of an agent, what we look for in new talent and and how we can help an illustrator manage their own style and exposure to develop a long-term career. It’s worth a read, especially if you’re a student or freelancer looking for an agent. It also showcases some marvellous illustrations by Steve May and Thomas Flintham.
