Adam Stower, illustrator and author of King Coo and Silly Doggy is the official Summer Reading Challenge 2019 artist. In this video for the Reading Agency, Adam talks about the importance of libraries and how the books from his childhood inspired his own storytelling. The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays reaching over 750,000 children across the UK. This year is its 20th anniversary and the title, ‘Space Chase’ ties in with the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing. You can sign up at your local library, then read six library books of your choice to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, and it’s FREE to take part!
