Born in 1989, Faye grew up on the south side of Dublin. Her biggest influence was the derelict lot behind her mother's house where she spent a huge amount of time drawing in the peaceful and wild environment. This inspired a never ending interest in post-apocalyptic landscapes, abandoned places and other worlds.
At the age of 15 she dragged all of her friends into making their first comic book, 'Ponchomania', and subsequently drew her way through all her major exams. She studied illustration at University College Falmouth after a year studying fine art.
She has a love for drawing, colour, character and expression and sneaks in jokes, juxtapositions or irony into her work.
Her major influences are Tracy Butler, Tomer Hanuka, Studio Ghibli, Shaun Tan, Vasquez, Chris Riddell, Pixar and Gobelins.
She also loves street art and the place where comics meet children's illustrated books.
